My two to three favorites were Macbeth, The Great Gatsby, and the The Night Thoreau spent in Jail that we read over the year.

2. What book/poem/play/etc. Would you suggest that we NOT read next year?
I suggest not reading A Rose for Emily next year.

3. Suggest 1-2 books, short stories, plays, or poems for next year. Give the title and author, and explain why you chose it.
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley shows the human ideology from two points of view and shows struggles of person against society and person against self, among other lessons and arguments that can be made throughout the story.

4. What are your favorite and least favorite assignments during the class?
The research project was my favorite because I learned more about Spongebob than I ever thought I would, but my least favorite was the research project from finding everything and putting it into words.

5. How would you change the class?
I would have more debates or discussions over major conflicts in the story and be able to set up arguments and defend opinions.

6. Overall, what do you think you learned this year in English?
Stories have changed over time and are not the one state readings that most think.

7. Overall, what do you think you still need to work on as an English student?
My grammar and spelling is an atrocious thing, though I have learned how to use the comma more, they still need work.
