Color and Light: Color at Night

You will make a picture today. Imagine you are an artist and you have been asked to make a special picture that shows how lights can blend, glow and sparkle.

1. Close your eyes. Think about the kinds of light you have seen at night (moonlight, starlight, street lights, spooky lights, night lights, refrigerator lights).

What kind of place are you in? What kind of scene is it? Is it inside or outside, the city, country, an imaginary place?

2. sketch out your idea with pencil.

3. USE CRAYONS TO SHOW THE DIFFERENT KINDS AND COLORS OF LIGHT.

  • color in the brightest colors first, press down very hard, to show how bright the light is, where the light comes from (moon, stars, buildings, street or car lights) and how lights can be different (yellow-orange, red-orange, bright blue, white, light gray, etc.).

4. leave the sky or background blank.

5. put your name and code on the back!
