Ballet Mécanique (1923–24) is considered one of the masterpieces of early experimental filmmaking. It was conceived, written, and co-directed by the artist FERNAND LÉGER in collaboration with filmmaker Dudley Murphy and The artist Man Ray. The musical score was composed by the American composer George Antheil.
