It’s Fire Prevention Week – October 7-13

The goal of the 2012 Fire Prevention Week is: “Have Two Ways Out!” is to protect all families, especially those at the highest risk. The Division of State Fire Marshal and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) encourage Ohioans to take all the necessary steps to protect themselves and their families from the dangers of fires.

Parents can visit the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal’s homepage where you will find resources for designing a home fire escape plan, a home fire safety checklist and fire prevention fact sheets for specific at-risk groups and seasons.

Students should visit The U.S. Fire Administration for Kids homepage where there are all sorts of Fun & Games including a link to become a Jr. Fire Marshall. How cool is that!
