APUSH – CH 12 Graphic Organizer & Chapter Summary

Using “Lucidcharts” (get there by going to your google docs and clicking on the “more” dropdown box).  Create a graphic organizer for chapter 12.  Your main subject must be titled, “Chapter 12 – Social Reform of the Mid-1800s”.  You must have at least 4 main subtopics, with 3 branches for each.  Make your graphic organizer colorful and be creative.  This is due Thursday 1/24.

*Then write a 1-2 page (must be typed, double-spaced, 11 font, no more than 2 pages) summary of chapter 12, highlighting the main topics, events, people, etc. for each chapter.  Be sure to include an intro and a conclusion.  You will be given quite a bit of freedom with what you choose to cover, and how you choose to cover it, in your summary, but you must cover the important information for each chapter.  You might make each paragraph a different subject for example (i.e. make one paragraph important people and discuss them, another important events, another political decisions, or cover information chronologically, etc.).  Use items highlighted in your peer generated chapter 12 notes, your chapter 12 graphic organizer, and your chapter 12 study guides to help guide you in making these decisions.  This summary is due on Friday 1/25.

*Also, do not hesitate to use your Amsco book to help gather information.  This text is more concise and often easier to help you determine important information for each chapter.  (Note – The Amsco Chapters and Divine chapters will not necessarily line up perfectly).
