-don’t know anything outside of the plantations
-actually not a very high chance of escape
-no real disguises, easier to be seen
-extremely difficult to get all the way from sourthern states

2. I really liked the activity we did in the Learning Center, it was extremely interesting and I feel that I learned a lot from it. I liked getting to watch the woman act out the entire thing, instead of just having people tell us the information. It was really interactive, and I liked it a lot.
3. I really wasn’t aware that there was still slavery, these activities opened my eyes to what’s actually happening in the world today. The experience definitely made it feel more real.
4. People are held back form escaping slavery mostly due to threats, fear, and the fact that they don’t know where to go outside of where they’ve been kept.
