Constantin Brâncuşi (1876–1957) was a Romanian sculptor, painter and photographer.

He was one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th-century. He is described by many as the father of modern sculpture.

As a young boy, child he liked carving wooden farm tools. He studied art in Bucharest, Romania; Munich, Germany; and Paris, France.

His art emphasizes geometrical lines and the balance of form.
