Some difficulty came across with weather complications. If it was raining, you couldn’t necessarily take photos. If it was too windy, the pictures would come out much too blurry. If it wasn’t sunny enough, the photo would come out too dark. If it was too sunny, the picture would come out too bright. If it was cloudy, every picture you take will have different lighting. I had to take pictures around the middle of the day, and hope that the weather would cooperate.

I definitely feel that this, part 2 of my personal series, is much better than part 1 of the personal series. Both the editing quality, and the photo quality got much better. Everything is so much more focused, and, I feel like these photos have so much more depth to them. I feel like I’ve started to develop an editing style, making everything more clear. If you look at the before and after shots, all of the ‘after’ shots are much more clarified.

9 Weeks Reflection

I have definitely grown as a photographer in the past nine weeks. My pictures sort of started out blurry and unfocused, and they ended up so much better. I think that the 5 photos below definitely show this- they are the top 5 so far, in my own opinion. My work reflects the fact that I have grown as a photographer, because, if you look at my oldest before/after images compared to my newer ones, I have gotten a lot better. I make sure to follow the rules of photography, I make sure to focus, I make sure I’m telling a story with the photo (on occasion), etc. I am extremely proud of my work in these past weeks.

I like the top photo because I believe it tells a story, although the story it tells has been different for everyone so far. The same goes for the second photo from the top. I believe it tells some sort of a story, that there is some hidden meaning deep inside the photo itself. I like the middle photo because of how vibrant it is. It shows a lot of color, which generally isn’t something you’d see in a photo taken in the winter time.  I like the fourth photo from the top because of the vibrance of the photo as well. I think that most photos look best when they’re vibrant, and colorful. I like the bottom photo for several reasons. First off, it’s just a beautiful picture in general, although, I wish it was less blurry. Second, I like this picture because that is actually a picture of myself taking that picture, in a mirror. It was extremely difficult to capture without light glares or smudges on the glass, but after what must’ve been a million tries, I finally got a decent shot.
