This quarter in Science, we are learning about climate change. In class, we talked about the difference between weather and climate, The Greenhouse Effect, climate change and how we can stop climate change. After gathering information about these concepts, we were given a challenge to create a presentation that we could show to the City Council. The requirements of our project were to inform the City Council about everything we learned, including weather, climate and impacts of climate change in Fairview Park, as well as what our city can do to prevent climate change. Even though we did not actually present to the City Council, our project needed to be in the format of a city council presentation and we needed to act appropriately and formally during our speech. Overall, I learned a lot about climate change and enjoyed learning it, too. Here is my City Council presentation and after watching it, I encourage you to make a difference in your community and help the Earth by preventing climate change.
